Perge
Perge: A Magnificent Historic City

| Perge is the closest significant Roman ruin to Belek. The Great theatre and the stadium of Perge are its most impressive and intact buildings, but the remnants of its massive Hellenistic-Roman gate-towers are most photographed because they are so unusual.
Its 15.000 spectator theatre was built in the 2nd century AD, and the nearby stadium could hold 12.000 people. With the exception of the Aphrodisias stadium, it is the best preserved in Anatolia. There are 30 rooms, believed to have been used as shops, underneath the stadiums seats.
Through the Gates are remnants of a fine colonnaded street-not as fine as the Arcadian Way at Ephesus, but still quite impressive. The southern baths and the agora are worth exploring.

Kekova

| A day trip to Kekova, Ucagiz and Kale could be the highlight of your stay in Lycia , the region of Turkey roughly between Fethiye and Antalya . Usually reached by boat from Kas or Kalkan, this little bit of the coast is full of surprises and history. Your typical trip will take in the sites of three ancient cities, Aperlae, Teimiussa and Simena (Kale).
As you pass the little Greek island of Meis on your right your boat may take you into the bay that housed the harbour of Aperlae , founded by the Lycians and never a very important city. There's not a lot to see here but its fun to pass over the sunken remains of the harbour buildings.

Aspendos

| Aspendos boasts the best-preserved Roman theatre in Turkey and one of the best in the world. It was Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-180 AD) who ordered its great theatre to built. Still used for performances today, the theatre really allows you to imagine what it was like to attend a dramatic performance in Roman times.
If you do come in high summer, you can enjoy the Aspendos Opera & Ballet Festival with performance in the marvellous theatre.
In addition to the theatre the agora, basilica, nymphaeum and 15 km. of aqueducts are to be seen.

Side
Side: the City of the Goddesses

| Side was once idyllic, a traditional Turkish Mediterranean village amid marble Roman ruins an 2 km. of unspoiled beach to the west of Alanya.
The city was constructed on a peninsula and was a Hellenistic and Roman town, protected by city and sea walls.
The old baths have been restored and turned into a museum, in which are exhibited some of the statues and art treasures found in Side.
One of the most important buildings is its 15.000 spectator theatre. Side has colonnaded streets, a triumphal arch, a harbour, baths, fountains, cisterns, aqueducts, temples and a agora.

| Köprülü Canyon National Park is located 60 kilometres northwest of Belek. It is covered with dense cedar trees together with ample natural beauty of monumental trees. Both the geological structure and the vegetation of the Park offer possibilities for the wild animals to lead a natural life. The changeable character of the river flowing through the park allows various water sports, especially rafting. The river valley within the park is 14 kilometres long and it is a canyon formation with steep walls. Trekking and jeep safari tours are possible inside the Park.

| Located in 24 kilometres east of Antalya, the waterfalls and its environs are a calm and lovely area as it attracts less tourists compared to Manavgat and Düden falls. Kursunlu Falls and its environs traces the natural life of Belek and provides shelter for more than 100 bird species. Especially the hidden cave behind the waterfall is one of the most notable places.
